This traditional farmhouse has great character, a charming interior and a secluded pool and courtyard with lovely view over fields behind. The house is located down a quiet lane with only a few other properties nearby and parking is on the lane outside. It has a lovely original stone staircase, a wood-burning stove and an open terrace upstairs with wider views out over the countryside. The double doors to the front lead to a hallway and the stairs. On this floor there is a large kitchen diner and living room with patio doors leading out to the pool area, a twin bedroom and a toilet room. Outside, the patio curves around and can be accessed from the lane by a garden gate. On the first floor there is a twin room, a large double room, a shower room and a bathroom. There is plenty of room for an additional foldaway bed or a cot. The house has fans and, air-conditioning in the bedrooms, for both cold air and heat. The air-conditioning units are operated using one and two euro coins. The house is located on the edge of the charming villages of San Lawrenz and Gharb. Close by there is a supermarket, a pharmacy, shops and several restaurants. A short distance away is the fabulous church of Ta' Pinu that, since the rumour started in 1883 of our Lady of Ta ‘Pinu talking to a local, has been a pilgrim destination for many. Visitors have included St John Paul 11 and Pope Benedict XV1. The Inland sea and spectacular blue hole are a short drive from here as is the local craft village. The capital of Victoria is a ten minute drive away and a visit to the ramparts of the Citadel to see 360 views of the Island is a must.
